RELEASE: Ballard Raises Nearly $500,000 in Historic Quarter as Worried Opponents Lean on Outside Money

Independent Indiana Secretary of State Candidate Greg Ballard today reported he raised nearly $500,000 in the third quarter, an historic total for an independent statewide candidate in Indiana - bringing the campaign’s total fundraising since launching in late February to more than $1.25 million.

The Ballard campaign is reporting $278,614.94 in cash on hand and zero debt as of September 30th, when the reporting period ended.

The vast majority of the money raised by the Ballard campaign has come from Indiana donors.

"Our opponents are worried, and they should be," said Ballard. "They're relying on the legacy parties and big outside money. Our support comes from Hoosiers who want this office to be independent and work for the people - not the parties."
